Windows XP Home & Professional Setup
1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet connections. If in classic view go straight to Network Connections and skip to step 3.
3. Click Network Connections.
4. On the left side of the menu, click Create a new connection.
5. The New Connection Wizard will appear. Click Next.
6. Ensure there is a green dot by Connect to the Internet and click Next.
7. Click the button by Setup my connection manually and click Next.
8. Ensure there is a green dot by Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.
9. Type Awesomenet for the ISP Name and click Next.
10. Type your dialup number and click Next.
11. Enter your username and password, then your password again to confirm it. If you do not have the XP service pack 2, there will be an option to Turn on Internet Connection Firewall. Remove the check mark from this option. Now click Next.
12. Nearing the bottom of the last screen, put a check by Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish.
13. Close out of all windows.
Anytime you want to connect, you can double-click the Awesomenet icon on the desktop and click Dial.
