To configure ConfigPPP:

• Click on the Apple menu and then click on the Control Panels.
• Double click on the ConfigPPP icon.
• Select Modem Port for the Port Name.
• Select 30 minutes for the Idle Timeout and 20 seconds for the Echo Interval.
• Hangup on Close should be the only option selected.
• Select the Config button.
• Move Port Speed to your modem speed, or closest to it.
• Select the flow control as none if you have a modem slower than 28.8. Otherwise, select CTS & RTS (DTR)
• Enter in the appropriate phone number for your area, include prefixes like "*70," if you have call waiting or "9," if you have to access an outside line.
• Accept the default Modem Init or enter ATZ if it is blank. You can also enter the initialization sequence recommended by your modem manufacturer.
  
  
  
  
• Click on Authentication.
• Type your username in the Auth ID field, and your password in the password field.
• Make sure the Timeout box says 30 seconds, and click OK.
• Click Done.

To activate these changes:

• Close ConfigPPP.
• Restart your Mac.

You have now successfully created and configured a connection for Awesomenet.
