Getting Started

1. Click the Start button.
2. From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator and choose Netscape Navigator.

   

3. Click the OK button to start the SetupWizard.

   

4. Each user of a Communicator on a particular machine has a group of settings called a Profile. Click the Next button to start creating your user profile.

   

5. In the Full Name text box, type your name.
6. In the Email Address text box, type your email address. (Example: username@awesomenet.net)

   

7. Click the Next button to continue.

   

8. Click the Next button to confirm the spelling of your username.
9. In the Outgoing mail [SMTP] server text box, type mail.awesomenet.net
10. Click the Next button.

    

11. In the Incoming Mail Server text box, type mail.awesomenet.net
12. Click the Next button.

    

13. In the News (NNTP) server text box, type news.awesomenet.net

    

14. Click the Finish button.
15. Click the Start Communicator button to confirm the selected profile.

    

16. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

    

17. In the Location text box, type http://www.awesomenet.net

    

18. Click the OK button to close the preference box completely.
